Senior Showgirl Entrant Megan Beasant is a 19 year old apprentice butcher at Woolworths in Maryborough.
A member of Girls’ Brigade for 13 years, she achieved her Pioneer Pin National Award in May 2008 and was presented with her Queen’s Award by the Queensland Governor in November, this is the highest International Award attainable. Megan has also been an assistant Girls’ Brigade Leader and Boys’ Brigade leader in 2008.
Megan was a competitive Gymnast and Trampolinist for over ten years and in 2006 became an accredited Gymnastics and Trampoline Sports Coach and Judge.
In her spare time Megan enjoys Clogging, listening to Country Music and hanging out with friends.
Megan has been involved with the Fraser Coast Show Society for several years, in 2006 she was judged the Junior Showgirl. She has also been a keen participant in the Stud Cattle Section where she has taken part in Junior Judging and showed cattle for Aldridge State High School and several local breeders.
Megan has joined the Showgirl Quest this year to help raise the profile of the Regional Show and she sees it as her opportunity to give something back to the community.
