Our Miss Junior Showgirl 2007 winner was Caitlyn Hulse.

Charity Winner for 2007 was Megan Kassulke.

2007 Young Ambassador was Reyne Mohommed.

Entrants in the 2008 Miss Showgirl Quest will face an exciting and challenging time to raise funds for the 2008 Annual Fraser Coast Show.

Show Society Secretary Jenni Jefferis and Showgirl Co-ordinator Heather Behrendorff would like to hear from single girls and boys aged 12-25 who would like to participate during the coming months, culminating next May at the show.

In addition to the 2008 QCAS Miss Showgirl Quest, we have Miss Junior Showgirl for those 12-17, and an exciting new one - Young Ambassador. So come on girls and fellas - have a go!

Kylie Bowes

Kylie is a 19-year-old University student enrolled in Biomedical Science. She has lived in Maryborough her entire life with her parents and her sister. She attended St Mary’s Primary School, and moved on to St Mary’s College.

Kylie has many hobbies, but her favourite thing is Pony Club. As for pets, she has horses, dogs, birds, fish and chooks.

Kylie joined the 2007 Wade Sawmill Fraser Coast Show Miss Showgirl Quest to challenge herself, gain experience and to learn new things whilst doing something worthwhile to help the annual Show.

Amanda York

Amanda is Maryborough born and bred and currently completing a Bachelor Degree in Business and Arts; majoring in Marketing, Public Relations and Journalism at the University of Southern Queensland Fraser Coast Campus. She graduated Year 12 schooling at Maryborough State High School in 2005.

Whilst growing up in Granville, she did 12 years of dancing at difference dance schools within the region including Callisthenics and also studied singing and competed in eisteddfods for 2 years during her senior schooling. At school she was a Prefect, completed her Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award and also interested herself as the Vice President of the Interact club. Currently working at Big W, as a Checkout operator, she is interested in many things such as art, music, modelling and hanging with friends.

Jai Burton

Jai is the youngest in her family, and lives at home with her Mother, Tricia, and her two brothers, Trent and Joel. Jai has three cats, two dogs and two birds.

 As a child, Jai did gymnastics as sport until the age of nine. She then joined Doonvilla Soccer Club for a year. Jai attended pre-school to grade 7 at Maryborough West, and is currently studying her Junior Certificate at Aldridge State High School.

 Jai spends her weekends with family and friends, and occasionally can be seen dancing around. She is endeavouring to become a hairdresser when school is finished. Jai entered the 2007 Wade Sawmill Fraser Coast Show Miss Junior Showgirl Quest because she believes that it will be a good experience for her and it will aid in building her self-confidence.

Caitlyn Hulse

Caitlyn grew up in Brisbane before moving to Maryborough in Year 7 to attend Tinana Primary. She is currently attending St Mary’s College. Caitlyn has an older brother, and her pets include horses and dogs.

Caitlyn enjoys riding and playing netball. When school is finished, plans are under way for her to attend Gatton University to study a Bachelor degree in Applied Science specialising in animal care. Caitlyn is a country girl at heart, but loves to get dressed up for a night out with her friends. She plans to go to the USA at the end of the year for a 20-day homestay visit.

Caitlyn decided to enter the 2007 Wade Sawmill Fraser Coast Show Miss Junior Showgirl Quest as she wanted to do something for the community. She also thought is sounded like a lot of fun, and has enjoyed making new friends.

Megan Kassulke

Megan is a sweet sixteen Maryborough girl. She attended Tinana Primary School for her primary years and has now moved on to Maryborough State High School.

Megan is the eldest of three children, and has a pet Maltese named Monty and birds and fish. Megan loves to play netball and has had representative duties with Maryborough and the Wide Bay. She has also represented Queensland in cross country.

Megan works part time in customer service at Best & Less, and one day hopes to own a farm with lots of animals. Her favourite part of the Annual Fraser Coast Show is the Rodeo, and is looking forward to it again this year.

Megan wanted to be in the 2007 Wade Sawmill Fraser Coast Show Miss Junior Showgirl Quest to help with a community event and to build her self-confidence.

Crystal Lewis

Crystal attends Urangan High School in year 12. Upon completion of year 12, she would like to start an apprenticeship in hairdressing. Crystal has 6 dogs and 6 horses, and competes in rodeos and sporting events. Crystal owns a 125cc motorbike, and gets a lot of joy from feeling the wind in her hair.

In 2006 Crystal participated in her school equestrian team, and won the most points for her age group. Crystal is the only child to her Mother, Mandy, and her Father, Mick. Crystal enjoys water aerobics, gym workouts and going to the beach with her friends.

Crystal joined the 2007 Wade Sawmill Fraser Coast Show Miss Junior Showgirl Quest to try and raise as much money as she can for the annual Show, and to help put the event together.

Charlee McDonald

Charlee spent ten years in Tin Can Bay, then four years in Bowen, North Queensland, before settling in Gundiah. She competed year 10 at Aldridge High and is currently completing her senior years there. Charlee’s home isn’t like everyone else’s in that her parents own and run the Prince Alfred Hotel in Gundiah. She lives at home with her Mum and Dad and younger brother and sister. She works in the family business and likes to nanny and baby-sit for extra cash.

Charlee enjoys mustering cattle, dipping and spraying. She really loves being in the country and can’t wait to see the cattle events at the annual Show. Charlee greatest passion within the 2007 Wade Sawmill Fraser Coast Show Miss Junior Showgirl Quest is to learn all about the local area and all aspects of agriculture.

Reyne Mohommed

Reyne was School Captain at Parke State Primary School in year 7. He currently attends St Mary’s College where he is finishing year 10. Reyne is the eldest in a family of three children, raised by his Mother, Victoria, and Father, Michael. Reyne was born in Longreach and moved to Maryborough at six months of age.

His plans are to one day build his own home and to run a performance auto parts store. Reyne participates in basketball and rugby league, and currently works at Handy Hire in Maryborough. He owns a couple of bush-bashing cars, a 66 Morris 1100 and a 1986 Pulsar. He has rebuilt both engines, and that was the start of his passion for cars. Reyne also has a Honday CR80, two dogs  a cat, a bird, chickens and a duck. Reyne entered the 2007 Wade Sawmill Fraser Coast Show Young Ambassador Quest to help the community, raise funds for the Show, and to keep the Show Society going.
